Lonely Planet author Michael Kohn recommends Mongolia as the kind of country where you can just turn up and be guaranteed adventure. Not a surprise when nomad culture is alive and their hero is Ghengis Khan. Produced by Lonely Planet TV

destruction and rape and believe it an honor that their ancestors have done so feeling not one iota of remorse for what they did to innocent civilians of the societies that were mangled by mongols. Not even a comment that it wasn’t a good example of humanity what they did to those people (book burning in Baghdad, etc.). The Germans have come to grips with their history, the Japanese to a lesser extent. Still waiting on the mongols.
@Luvcutenomin
Some Japanese I’ve seen believe their side erred horribly when they brought WWII to the U.S. although you have some xenophobic idiots who think otherwise. The Germans know their side erred during WWII and have bent backwards so as not to repeat those mistakes (you can’t even have swastika imagery in video games when the plot concerns Nazis, among other laws banning Nazi imagery). Mongolians are proud of their “accomplishments” which included sacking of cities and straight out…
@SiberianDecember same here.
I guess people who live in dessert and have nothing, will become very cruel because they have nothing to lose too. In war, it called no way to withdraw. :) Why they do not know any agricultrue there though, only grass??

I Don’t give a shit about relationships between nations. I just like the video.
@pussy538 you are dumb
Great introduction to Mongolia. Thanks for the post and educating the world about this fascinating country and culture. I just got back and had one of the most incredible experiences in my life. Hard to imagine driving for 9 hours and not seeing a town or soul, truly, one of the last frontiers.

How does Mongolian respond to Chinese people asserting that chinggis khaan is Chinese?
I found out I have Mongolian blood..
Then again, Genghis Khan alone probably had sex with my ancestors -_-.

@Tuya56 but you should still love your home country and defend it sometimes..
@FootballUnited011 It is called a liberal thinking. Mongolia is my home country, but Earth is my home planet.
@Tuya56 wtf and ur mongolian? nice patriotism
@alexmeleh I know. I grew up in Ulaanbaatar. I know how dangerous it is, especially if you are a foreigner, don’t speak the language, and alone. Because there is terrible poverty, economic downfall, and unemployment in Mongolia. So hire a tourist company if you are going through the city.
